about
Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of backend engineering at two of Kazakhstan’s largest banks. I work in Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot and Quarkus, and my strength is platform engineering: architecture, shared libraries and the foundations other developers build on.
At Bank CenterCredit I carry tech lead responsibilities for BCC Cabinet, the bank’s online platform for business clients: I designed its architecture, got it approved by the bank’s architects and turned a feature team into a platform team. At Halyk Bank I designed document flow and QR-code login for Onlinebank.kz.
Next I want to work in developer relations, open source and engineering leadership: making other engineers faster through good tools, clear platforms and teaching.
experience
Senior Software Engineer @ Bank CenterCredit
- Founded the bank’s business cabinet platform: designed the target architecture, defended it before the bank’s architects and moved the team out of another team’s ecosystem into its own platform.
- Launched cabinet.bcc.kz and lead a team of two Java developers delivering features for business clients.
- Built the platform’s infrastructure library: a shared Gradle build foundation and 11 Spring Boot starters that every service builds on.
- Help developers across the bank adopt the platform and its engineering practices.
Software Engineer @ Halyk Bank
- Designed document flow for Onlinebank.kz as a modular monolith with async workers and contracts for new document types. It launched with 5 types, and the team kept adding more on the same contracts after I left.
- Shipped Halyk Business ID, QR-code login used across the bank’s B2B and B2C platforms, and supported authorization.
- Wrote infrastructure libraries for the platform’s services, including rate limiting.
- Supported account-to-account payments and built invoicing with 1C integration in two months.
Software Engineer @ Outsourcing company (NDA)
- Joined as an intern and grew into a software engineer; named Breakthrough of the Year for the range of technologies I picked up.
- Led development of Spring Boot microservices and supported a legacy Java EE system alongside them.
- Migrated a monolith to microservices so the busiest domains could scale on their own.
- Optimized SQL procedures in PostgreSQL for faster reporting, and built Angular front ends on top of the services.
